Bankruptcy Paralegal – Law Firm – Up to $110K


Global law firm has an opening for a Bankruptcy Paralegal in their Boston office to provide organizational and substantive support in the Dispute Resolution and Restructuring Department. Our client is reviewing resumes now and will conduct interviews once the office has re-opened.

Responsibilities for Bankruptcy Paralegal

  • Manage assigned cases
  • Perform full range of paralegal tasks from inception to closure
  • Prepare drafts of motions, notices, fee applications, and proofs of claims
  • Bluebook, cite check and Shepardize briefs
  • Prepare deposition notices, organizing, maintaining and preparing deposition materials, exhibits and summaries

Requirements for Bankruptcy Paralegal

  • Knowledge of Bankruptcy Court procedures and practices
  • Familiar with Chapter 11 reorganization process and documents such as SoFAs, disclosure statements and plans of reorganization
  • Experience preparing monthly statements, interim and final fee applications
  • Experience with Best Case Bankruptcy or similar software
  • Experience with e-Filing within Federal Courts, specifically U.S. Bankruptcy and District Courts
  • Must be familiar with CM/ECF and Pacer Filing System
  • Use of research tools including Internet; Westlaw; Dunn & Bradstreet; and Courtlink
  • Ability to multi-task and assess priorities
  • Excellent teamwork skills and strong client service
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Qualifications for Bankruptcy Paralegal

  • Seven plus years of Bankruptcy experience in a law firm required, large firm a plus
  • eDiscovery experience a plus
  • BA/BS required
  • Paralegal certificate a plus


  • Annual Salary up to $110K
