Quality Control Specialist

A highly respected Boston law firm is seeking a Quality Control Specialist for a fully remote role (candidates must reside in the greater Boston area). In this position, you will work closely with attorneys, technology specialists, and Intellectual Property leadership as a key resource on IP best practices, rules, and procedures.

Responsibilities include reviewing newly prepared patent applications prior to submission to the USPTO and other patent offices, reviewing formal documents such as Powers of Attorney and Declarations, conducting research to verify filing data, and assisting IP Operations Managers with training and support for paralegal staff.

Candidates should have at least five years of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution experience, strong knowledge of USPTO, PCT, PAIR, and foreign patent filing requirements, and experience with EFS-Web. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills are essential.
