How do I know if my timecard was processed on time?

We process payroll on Monday mornings, and you are responsible for submitting your timesheet by the close of business on Friday. As long as you submit your timesheet by the deadline, you can assume it will be processed on time. You will be contacted by a Kennison representative if we did not receive your timesheet, or if it was processed incorrectly.

What if I need time off from an assignment for an interview or an appointment?

If you need time off from your assignment for any reason, you should call the Kennison Temp. Department. We will contact your assignment to inform them, but please give us as much notice as possible and minimize your time off.

I sent my resume in, what is the next step?

One of our associates will respond to your submission within a few days of receiving your resume. If your resume matches a job we are looking to fill, we will invite you to schedule an interview. Please do so promptly as opportunities are subject to change. If we don’t currently have an assignment that matches your skill set, we will keep your resume on file and contact you when we do.

What do I need to complete employment paperwork?

Paperwork for temporary employment will be sent to you via RightSignature.  Forms will include I-9, W2, etc. and highlighted boxes must be completed. You will need to set up a date/time to bring your identification documents (as outlined on the I-9 Form) to Kennison’s office so they may be copied and viewed in-person per federal law.

Do I have to apply multiple times to be considered for multiple jobs openings?

No, only one application is necessary. Once we have your resume in our system, we will consider you for any assignments that fit your background.

What if I’m not interested in a certain position, is it alright to turn it down?

Of course. You are not obligated to accept every position we present to you, however, if you turn down an opportunity for work, this can affect your ability to collect unemployment.

What if I am on an assignment and I decide it’s not for me?

If you decide you would like to end your assignment early, please call your Kennison temporary representative to discuss your options. We will do our best to ensure this never happens, but in the unlikely event that it does, we ask that you notify us immediately and give us as much notice as possible.

How often should I contact your office after I interview?

Once you’ve interviewed with Kennison, our associates will reach out to you as soon as we have an assignment that is a good match. If you are collecting unemployment, you may be required to check in for work before filing a claim.

How do I update my contact info on file?

Please email a Kennison representative if you need to update your contact information. If you prefer to call, please be sure to speak to someone in our temp department- do not leave us a voicemail.

Who do I talk to about benefits?

Feel free to reach out to any of our temporary associates with questions about the benefits we offer.

How can I stay informed of open positions?

A representative of Kennison will contact you when we have a position that matches your background, but we are only a phone call away if you would like to check in. You can also check the temporary category of our job board for available opportunities. This is not a complete list of our open positions, but a sampling of the jobs we are looking to fill.

What is the difference between temp and “temp to hire?”

Temp to hire (or temp to perm) opportunities are handled by our Direct Hire Division, however, some temporary positions do turn into direct hire jobs. Temping is a great way to get your foot in the door and can often lead to a direct hire job if a position becomes available internally.

What happens after I complete an assignment?

When you complete your assignment you should contact your Kennison representative. We will check in with you throughout your placement, but you will need to update us on your availability when you have completed an assignment.
